A plurality say vigilance is red. Click a color to add your vote.
Vigilance is red because…
“Red is danger, vigilance is watching for danger. It’s a clear connection.”
“An alert is like an alarm. Alarms remind me of red.”
“It makes me think of detailed manga panels I’ve seen with black and red; red to show the enemy or the government being vigilant.
”
Vigilance is purple because…
“Vigilance is the act of staying alert for potential dangers. While red is alright, it serves more as when you’re already alerted (think the iconic ‘!’ from Metal Gear Solid). Alternatively, black is an option for stealth and night operations where you aren’t meant to be caught. However, true darkness is too difficult to be alert in, therefore purple, a dim, yet active (saturation demonstrates activity, whilst neutral shades show more dullness) color works to demonstrate vigilance.”
Vigilance is blue because…
“Because blue is the color of the police and private security.”
“Police are blue.”
Vigilance is orange because…
“Red is immediate danger, so it follows that orange would be vigilance.
”
“It’s full of vigor without being too aggressive. It’s proactive but not quite red.”
“Vigilance isn’t as aggressive as red, but it is still a state of being alert. There’s no current danger, which I associate with red, but it’s the state of preparing and expecting danger.”
“You’ve got to be careful, but there is no immediate danger as red would imply.”
“Those self control signs in trains in my country are orange. Stay vigilant bros.”
“It’s not a full state of alert, but it’s almost.”
Vigilance is green because…
“A bright green, like a wild cat’s eyes.”
Vigilance is yellow because…
“Yellow is electric, uneasy, shocking.”
“Caution.”
Vigilance is grey because…
“The word ‘vigilance’ begins with the letter V, which is gray.”
“I thought of soldiers, which made me think of knights, whose armours are grey.”
